Education Specialist (EdS) Program
Capella University's online EdS program is designed for educators seeking a specialist degree that emphasizes both professional practice and scholarship. An EdS falls between a master's and a doctoral degree. Educators who choose this degree program often pursue leadership positions at a school or district level, or continue their studies at the doctoral level. (Equivalent course work taken as part of Capella’s EdS program may be applied to degree requirements for a Capella PhD.) You will attend two, four-day residential colloquia at specific stages in your program, in addition to your online courses.
